So right - Humans are Amazing downright disturbing!!

Crazy - and yes - I picked this because of the eyepatch and the totally FFVII-esque costumes!

So hopefully you will pray that this is the LAST of this reoccurring entry!

If you really want it back just let me know. I had fun with it for a while, and I found out stuff about the Japanese Music scene I never would have otherwise!

You've gotta admit their choreographic skills are pretty impressive in all these Japanese groups.

My wife LOVES Fox's show "So You Think You Can Dance" - and for a competition show it's definitely one of the better ones on. A while back they did an opening dance that looked VERY much like the choreography Genki Sudo does for World Order! (only not as good) Overall those contestants are better dancers, but in that Japanese pop-style - it is hard to compete with the original!

Still, for the most part - Japanese everything is just over-the-top awesome - like the pop-trio Perfume

Wednesday's Awesome Japanese Music Video!

Today's videos are brought to you with help from an awesome co-worker who gave me some great ideas.

First off we have Gackt - who has been said to be the inspiration for many Final Fantasy Characters. I didn't think it was possible to get hair like that outside of video games!



And from "The Pink Ladies" comes what I hear is one of the MOST popular Karaoke songs!



Their dancing reminds me of the English Lessons including "I was robbed by two men!"

Scottish/Highland Festival

Today we took our kids and went to the Highland Festival.

We even joined the Scottish Association! Clan McGowan! (MacGowan? still gotta find out)



Very cool band. Also very cool that Craig Ferguson played WITH them!

We were able to sit and enjoy them for a while. My wife now wants to get me a Kilt!

UPDATE: So I guess it isn't the end quite yet. Some lucky people will be RAPTURED tomorrow, the rest of us have to wait another 5 or 6 months until the end. Hooray!

Humans Are Amazing - Cello + Dancing Edition

I love the Cello. Yo-yo Ma is amazing.

Dancing is always impressive to me - I don't like watching it as much as my wife does, but I can appreciate the talent and dedication that goes into it. This guy is pretty amazing!

(Turn up the volume the sound isn't great)



I also think it's funny, his movements are very 'street', very NOT classical, but really, good dancing is good dancing - if he were in some Ballet tights it wouldn't look that out of place!

In other news, Saturday morning I was able to accomplish the early stages of a muscle-up. I did a few muscle-ups on park playground monkey bars that made it slightly more doable than a straight bar. Ultimately I WILL do it on a straight bar. So because of this my Bucket List has been updated.

I had a really cheap ukulele for a while but it was hard to keep it on the right tune so I didn't really learn anything. I WILL. Just not Bach! :)

Grooooovy Song of the Day

This song is fairly new, but the Black Keys have been around since 2001 but I haven't heard of them until this song and I like a lot of their stuff.

Blues-Rockin' Grooove.

The Grammys and Oscars are often overrated but sometimes they do expose you to things you may not have heard of before!

Derezzed

Just before Christmas I saw Tron Legacy - I enjoyed it a lot. I don't think the 3D added much to the film, but it didn't really take away. I DO think they could have done a lot more than they did - this is a cool video that expands a little bit on some of the stuff that COULD have been in the movie but wasn't.
